"We love our community. Our kids were raised here, memories made here, and our business grew here. Which means staying involved and giving back is embedded in our day to day life."
Stockings for Soldiers 2017
Country Air was happy to send boxes of joy to Soldiers stationed overseas for the holidays! Learn more about each of our recipients below!
Please allow us to introduce our first Soldier in our Stockings for Soldier’s program, Mr. Nicholas Hawkins, proud member of the U.S. Navy! Nicholas was nominated by his Mother, Audrey. Here is what she had to say about him: How many years has he served? “He has served two years at this time and has mapped out a 20 year career.” Tell us about his family? “It has been just he, his brother and I for 18 of his 20 years and I couldn’t have asked for better boys! He now seems to have become the strong hold of our family even though he is the younger brother.” Why is he a hero to you? “He has stayed determined and positive and is such an extreme source of pride for his brother and myself. He has always done for others and put everyone above his needs and wants and has never taken the easy road. He is such an amazing son and young man.” What are his favorite activities when not deployed? “He enjoys computer games, movies, camping, driving and also cooking. He also enjoys paintball and going new places.” Anything else interesting or special you would like to share about him? “Nicholas has always been above his years in maturity, humanity and drive to learn. He joined delayed enlistment his junior year of high school. He excelled and researched and stayed focused. He entered boot camp and became Honor Recruit – a newly recognized and ribboned honor at graduation.” From all of us at Country Air, we want to say thank you, Mr. Hawkins, for your dedication and service to our country!
Please allow us to introduce our second Soldier in our Stockings for Soldier’s program, Mr. Travis England, proud member of the U.S. Army! Travis was nominated by his Mother, Cynthia. Here is what she had to say about him: Travis England is an inspiring individual that always loves to help others. His need to help coupled with his strive for excellence influenced him to join the Army two years ago. He currently serves as a satellite technician with a rank of specialist and continues to thrive in the service. On the days he is not in uniform, he enjoys building innovative things with his hands as well as indulging in logistic video games and ice cream. His family is very proud of him and cannot wait for him to come home. Thank you for your service, Travis!
Please allow us to introduce our third Soldier in our Stockings for Soldier’s program, Mr. Blake Stiles, proud member of the U.S. Marines! Blake was nominated by his Mother, Nikki. Here is what she had to say about him: “Blake has served one year in the Marines. He was born in Houston and raised in Magnolia, TX. He graduated from Magnolia High School in June 2016 and then set off for boot camp in November of 2016. We are a close family and really miss him. He is our hero because he could have picked any college or trade in the world and we would have sent him. Instead he picked to fight for our country. When he is not deployed he likes to hunt, fish and be with family.” From all of us at Country Air, we want to say thank you, Mr. Stiles, for your dedication and service to our country!
Please allow us to introduce our fourth Soldier in our Stockings for Soldier’s program, Mr. Logan Ness, proud member of the U.S. Army! Logan was nominated by his Father and Step Mother, Butch and Rhonda Ness. Here is what they had to say about him: “Logan Taylor Ness was born and raised in Magnolia, Texas. Logan attended Bear Branch Elementary, Magnolia Junior High and graduated from Magnolia West High School in 2013. He joined the Army Reserves in 2014. Logan began attending Baptist Bible College in 2015 in pursuit of full-time ministry. He is pursuing education hoping to become a Youth Pastor. Logan’s unit in St Charles, Missouri was activated for purposes which include electrical engineering. Logan feels strongly that God has a purpose for him during his deployment and knows that he can be an impact for the soldiers. Logan’s past time activities include working out, spending time with his girlfriend Delilah and enjoying his Ford Mustang. Logan’s family include his Dad (Butch) Step Mom (Rhonda) Brother (Austin) Mom (Trudi), Step Brothers (Stephen, Shane and Spencer) Grandparents (Beryl and Phyllis Lawrence, Nita Hines and Leon and Zenda O’Neal). Several precious Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. We request prayers for Logan as he and his fellow soldiers serve and protect this great nation.” From all of us at Country Air, we want to say thank you, Mr. Ness, for your dedication and service to our country!
Please allow us to introduce our fifth Soldier in our Stockings for Soldier’s program, Mr. Edward Sturdivant, proud member of the U.S. Army! Edward was nominated by his niece, Amanda Trickey. Here is what she had to say about him: “My Uncle Eddie has been proudly serving our country for 20 years in the Army. He has a beautiful family that consists of 4 kids and his loving wife of 15 years. Eddie is currently on his 6th tour in Kuwait. He is a hero to our whole family through his years of service. He has willingly gone to places to serve our country most people would not have wanted to go to and sacrificed time with his friends and family to do so because he believes strongly in our country. Eddie loves to fish, hunt and do anything that involves the great outdoors when he is not deployed. He also is a BBQ hound and enjoys both eating and grilling. Please bless Eddie and the rest of our soldiers as he serves the rest of his one year tour in Kuwait.” From all of us at Country Air, we want to say thank you, Mr. Sturdivant, for your dedication and service to our country! We wish you a safe and blessed Christmas and New Years!
