Spring HVAC Maintenance: Why do it?

3/2/2021

The hot summer months are right around the corner which means it’s time for spring safety and maintenance inspections on your HVAC equipment. So, what is a spring check for and why is it beneficial to you?
Picture
Keeps the warranty on your system valid.

Imagine this: a part unexpectedly breaks on your HVAC system, but you’re still covered by warranty, ahh a sigh of relief. But - when you call the warranty department you realize that your warranty is no longer valid – oops. You’ve been DIYing the maintenance on your system instead of leaving it to the professionals and now you have to fork the bill.

You can avoid this headache by simply calling a professional like Country Air to come do the maintenance for you. Most companies offer a maintenance plan that saves you money and offers other perks - like same day service.

Most HVAC manufacturers require proof of annual maintenance so they know the equipment was properly cared for as some of the parts that make an HVAC system work can be costly to replace.

Increases the life expectancy of your system.
Your HVAC system is a machine. Just like your car is a machine. You wouldn’t drive your car for 60,000 miles without changing its oil or doing any kind of maintenance on it and expect it to last a long time. The same is true of your HVAC system. It needs routine maintenance to ensure all the parts are working harmoniously together for a long life.

Ensures your HVAC system is running at optimal efficiency and lowers the cost of your energy bills.
A well-oiled HVAC system means you're spending less month per month on energy because the system doesn't have to work as hard to get the job done. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, you could see a savings up to 30% on your energy bill.

Reveals problems before they get worse.
It’s the worst when you wake up covered in sweat on a hot 80-degree Texas night - there goes the AC. And you know it’s only going to become more miserable as the sun rises.

Routine maintenance checks allow the professionals to find problems in your system before they bust. This means your system is less likely to go down when you need it most and you’ll save money on costly repairs.

My mom always used to say, “Prior proper planning prevents poor performance.” And well, she is right again with this one. Give us a call at 281-356-8564 to schedule your spring maintenance inspection. We look forward to serving you!

I appreciated it when you shared that it is important to perform routine maintenance for your HVAC appliance to ensure all the parts are working harmoniously together for a long time. My uncle just mentioned the other day that he is worried about his house since the HVAC unit is no longer working well due to a lack of maintenance. I will suggest to him hiring a reliable service that can help fix it.

You made a good point telling that the HVAC system is a machine that's why just like any machine, it requires routine maintenance to ensure all the parts are working properly for long life. This made me realize that our HVAC system hasn't been checked since we moved here years ago. I better look now for an HVAC service near my place to have it checked and asses if it requires any repair.

It's the same as the saying "Prevention is better than cure" It happened to me. I didn't really care about maintenace at first but when my AC started having major issues, it was hard to repair it back to its mint condition. I suggest that you always clean your AC, and have a professional check once in a while.

It got me when you said that a well-oiled unit would be able to ensure us that we are spending less on our energy bills. In that case, I need to find a residential AC repair professional to check if we lack that part or if there are other issues that we don't know about. We have been living in this house for the past three years now, and it's just these past two months that we started having almost double the cost of our monthly bills.
